The Austin Police Division shall be conducting a Labor Day DWI Enforcement Initiative in an effort to cut back the variety of crashes, accidents, and fatalities as a result of intoxicated drivers. This initiative shall be in impact nightly from Friday, August 20 via Monday, September 6, 2021.
This DWI initiative is an effort to implement DWI legal guidelines, and to maintain the general public protected by encouraging drivers to make accountable selections. The Austin Police Division would really like for everybody to securely benefit from the Labor Day vacation and a protected again to high school season for these which can be doing so.
The Austin Police Division is concentrated on saving lives on the streets and highways of Austin and making Austin roadways protected for everybody via schooling and enforcement. This enforcement interval is offered via an Impaired Driving Mobilization grant from TXDOT.
