DWI Charges for Man After North Sea Crash: Cops

A man from Southampton was apprehended and charged with driving under the influence following a two-vehicle collision in North Sea, New York on Friday night, as per the police. The town authorities of Southampton reported that the incident occurred at around 9:24 p.m. on Noyack Road, near Old Sag Harbor Road.

Luis F. Pena, aged 24, was driving south on Noyack Road when the collision happened with the other vehicle. Pena attempted to flee from the accident site, which involved personal injury, but was intercepted by the police.

After his arrest, Pena was transported to the Southampton Town Police Department HQ where he underwent arrest processing and was detained for a morning arraignment in Southampton Town Justice Court. The charges against him included misdemeanor DWI, fleeing the crash site involving injuries, and several breaches of the New York State vehicle and traffic laws.
