A Rockland County teen who was allegedly driving drunk when he crashed his car, killing a 16-year-old woman, will seem in courtroom on Monday, April 26.
The unidentified 17-year-old driver has been charged with:
- Second-degree manslaughter,
- Second-degree assault,
- First-degree vehicular assault,
- Second-degree vehicular manslaughter,
The car struck a utility pole, inflicting energy disruption within the space, Ramapo Police stated.
Following the crash, a preliminary investigation revealed that the motive force, from Suffern, was intoxicated. He was transported from Nyack Hospital to the Ramapo Police Division for arrest processing.
He was arraigned just about Saturday, April 24, in Rockland County Youth Superior Courtroom, was launched on his personal recognizance.
Donations are pouring in on a GoFundMe web page, elevating greater than $98,000 as of early Monday.
The investigation into the reason for the crash is ongoing and is predicted to take a while to finish, Ramapo Police say.
