Louisiana State Police say that on April 9, 2021, shortly earlier than 9:30 p.m., Troopers responded to a deadly crash involving a pedestrian on US Hwy 171 close to Theriot Street in Calcasieu Parish.
The crash claimed the lifetime of 50-year-old Benjamin Lewis Murray.
The preliminary investigation revealed the crash occurred as Murray was trying to stroll throughout the northbound lanes of journey of US 171. On the similar time, a northbound automobile, pushed by 34-year-old Candice Rae Walker Peloquin of Lake Charles, struck Murray.
Troopers say Murray sustained deadly accidents on account of the crash and was pronounced useless on the scene.
