GRANBURY, Texas (AP) — A North Texas mayor has submitted his resignation following his third driving whereas intoxicated arrest.
Granbury Mayor Nin Hulett had been arrested on April 25 on a DWI cost, which had initially been a category B misdemeanor.
The cost was upgraded to a felony on Could 3 after Granbury police confirmed Hulett had been convicted twice for DWI, the Fort Value Star-Telegram reported.
In his resignation letter, Hulett didn’t point out his arrest however wrote he was “really grateful for the chance to serve my metropolis these previous ten years.”
Hulett was first elected as mayor in 2013. His present time period was set to run out subsequent 12 months.
