MCKINLEY COUNTY — New Mexico State Police (NMSP) Uniform Officers comprised of officers from Gallup and Grants carried out an unlawful avenue racing operation April 1 in Gallup and surrounding areas.
The aim of the operation was to curb the inflow of avenue racing throughout the metropolis limits of Gallup and surrounding areas and lift consciousness of security to motorists.
In the course of the 4-hour operation, officers made two DWI arrests, two misdemeanor arrests and one felony arrest. Officers additionally issued 48 visitors citations for numerous violations.
