BATH BEACH, Brooklyn — A person who was arrested for alleged drunk driving died on Friday after police discovered him unresponsive in his holding cell in Brooklyn, in accordance with the NYPD.
John Greico, 65, was arrested on Thursday round 10 p.m. after officers responding to a 911 name of a reckless driver close to Bay 14th Road and Cropsey Avenue in Tub Seaside found him drunk behind the wheel, police stated Saturday morning.
Greico was taken into custody for allegedly driving whereas intoxicated and brought to a hospital, the place he was examined and handled, in accordance with police.
After he was discharged from the hospital round 1:25 a.m. Friday, police took Greico to the 62nd Precinct for processing. He was discovered unresponsive in his cell with no indicators of trauma round 5p.m. Friday, police stated.
Officers tried to revive Greico till EMS arrived and took over the trouble, in accordance with the NYPD. He was rushed to a hospital, the place he was pronounced lifeless round 5:30 p.m., police stated.
The town medical expert will decide the reason for loss of life.
