DUI Manslaughter Trial Begins for Shona Wallace, Accused of Killing Toddler

Shona Wallace, a woman from Altamonte Springs, Florida, is set to appear before a judge for her trial on Thursday morning. She is accused of a DUI manslaughter that resulted in the death of a toddler. Wallace, who was 48 during the incident, allegedly hit a family with her silver Mazda – including 18-month-old Adalyn Zisa and the child’s parents.

The accident happened on June 2, 2019, at the crossroads of State Road 414 and Eden Park Road. Responding officers found victims at the site who were hit by Wallace’s car. Authorities reported that Wallace swerved onto the sidewalk, hitting the family who were enjoying a bike ride. She could not provide any explanation as to why her vehicle went off the road.

The mishap led to the hospitalization of the family, but unfortunately, the toddler succumbed to her injuries. Wallace is due to appear in court at 8:45 a.m. This story is still unfolding, so stay tuned for updates.
