A Maryville man is dealing with prices after he allegedly drove beneath the affect and with a stolen license plate.
Adam Lee Phrase, 37, Barker Lane, was arrested by Blount County Sheriff’s deputies at 5:56 p.m. July 13 and charged with theft and driving each beneath the affect and on a suspended license. He was being held on bonds totaling $6,000 pending a 9 a.m. listening to July 21 in Blount County Basic Classes Courtroom.
An incident report states deputies pulled Phrase over within the car parking zone of Meals Lion, 1707 E. Lamar Alexander Parkway, Maryville, after his car’s license plate was confirmed to be stolen; they then detained him.
Phrase’s eyes have been glassy and bloodshot, and his actions have been fast and “nearly appeared as in the event that they have been involuntary,” the report states. He mentioned he hadn’t taken medication lately, however allegedly carried out poorly on a number of sobriety checks.
Phrase informed deputies he discovered the license plate and determined to place it on his car, and he had been in possession of it for some time, the report states. He was taken to the Blount County jail.
