FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A lady driving away from a DUI checkpoint crashed into a hearth hydrant and a utility pole in Clovis on Friday, in response to police.
It occurred at round 9:30 p.m. within the space of Clovis and Ashlan avenues. Officers say they had been conducting a DUI checkpoint when a girl who drove up didn’t have a sound driver’s license. She was instructed to drive into the checkpoint however as an alternative drove away at excessive pace. She later hit the utility pole and a hearth hydrant.
Police say the driving force is a juvenile and has no severe accidents. Officers try to find out if medication or alcohol performed a job within the crash.
