HUNTINGTON — The West Virginia State Police will conduct a sobriety checkpoint on from 6 p.m. to midnight Thursday, July 15, on U.S. 60 close to the twenty ninth Road Exit of Interstate 64. An alternate checkpoint web site has been designated as third Avenue close to twentieth Road in Huntington.
The main focus of the checkpoint is driving beneath the affect (DUI) enforcement. Different enforcement actions could also be performed, with police specializing in reckless driving, rushing and seat belt violations.
