Two drivers had been arrested at a DUI checkpoint, police mentioned Saturday.
The checkpoint was carried out from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. Friday at Escondido Boulevard and Woodward Avenue, mentioned Lt. Scott Walters of the Escondido Police Department.
A complete of fifty drivers had been cited for working an unlicensed car or with a suspended or revoked license, and 501 motorists had been contacted, the lieutenant mentioned.
Police had been scheduled to conduct one other checkpoint Dec. 18.
Funding for the checkpoint was offered by a grant from the California Workplace of Site visitors Security, by way of the Nationwide Freeway Site visitors Security Administration.
