BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio (WTRF) — The Ohio State Freeway Patrol, together with the Belmont County Sheriff’s Workplace and Bridgeport Police, will conduct an OVI checkpoint from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. tonight.
The checkpoint location is State Route 7 at Aetna Avenue in Belmont County.
The OVI checkpoint, funded by federal grants, is deliberate to discourage and intercept impaired drivers.
The checkpoint can even be held together with close by saturation patrols to aggressively fight impaired driver-related harm and deadly crashes.
Regulation enforcement officers say in case you plan to devour alcohol, designate a driver or make different journey preparations earlier than you drink. Additionally they say don’t let one other life be misplaced for the mindless and egocentric act of getting behind the wheel impaired.
