At a security checkpoint alongside Mississippi 13 South, Marion County Sheriff deputies made a cease that yielded greater than two kilos of methamphetamines and despatched three individuals to jail Saturday evening.
Contact was made on the checkpoint with Gary Jamal Daughtry, the place deputies carried out a roadside investigation. They then found the methamphetamines, 55 dosages of codeine cough syrup and a firearm.
Daughtry was arrested and charged with felony possession of a managed substance, felony managed substance trafficking, felony managed substance enhanced penalty possession of a firearm on the scene, felony weapon possession by a convicted felon and a misdemeanor DUI. He’s presently within the Marion County Jail as of press time with a $350,000 bond.
Two different people had been arrested, Travon Nikez Pittman, 21, of Poplarville and Malcomb Amad Patrick, 26, of Columbia, each of whom had been later launched.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Workplace is investigating the matter.
