The Richmond Police Division will maintain a DUI checkpoint within the Richmond Hilltop space on Friday, Jan. 29, from roughly 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Police have been holding checkpoints at DUI crash and arrest hotspots within the metropolis.

Drivers charged with DUI face a median of $13,500 in fines and penalties, in addition to a suspended license, police stated.
The checkpoint is funded by a grant from the California Workplace of Visitors Security, by way of the Nationwide Freeway Visitors Security Administration.
