A motorist was arrested on suspicion of driving beneath the affect of medication at a checkpoint, police stated Saturday.
The DUI checkpoint was performed at North Fourth Avenue between 6 p.m. and midnight Friday, in accordance with Officer Oscar Miranda of the Chula Vista Police Department.
Of 1,791 autos that traveled via the checkpoint, 798 had been screened, Miranda stated.
5 drivers got area sobriety assessments and 7 unlicensed or suspended license citations had been issued.
4 autos had been impounded.
The checkpoint was funded by a grant from the California Workplace of Site visitors Security.
