– The San Luis Obispo Police Department held a DUI checkpoint on Saturday at Marsh and Osos streets from 8 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.
Throughout the checkpoint operations, one individual was arrested and two have been cited. A complete of 619 drivers have been contacted.
Checkpoint areas are based mostly on a historical past of crashes and DUI arrests. The first function of checkpoints is to advertise public security by deterring drivers from driving impaired.
