NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Division is continuous is robust stance in opposition to drunk driving following its ‘Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over’ Fourth of July marketing campaign earlier this month by scheduling sobriety checkpoints later this month.
The NOPD’s Visitors Division will conduct sobriety checkpoints in Orleans Parish on Thursday, July 15 and on Friday, July 23.
The checkpoint will begin at 9 p.m. every day and run till 5 a.m. the next morning.
The NOPD says motorists will expertise minimal delays throughout these checkpoints and may have the right documentation accessible if requested, similar to proof of insurance coverage, driver’s license, and many others.
