CHULA VISTA, Calif. — A motorist was arrested on suspicion of driving underneath the affect of medicine at a checkpoint, police mentioned right now.
The DUI checkpoint was performed at North Fourth Avenue between 6 p.m. and midnight Friday, in line with Officer Oscar Miranda of the Chula Vista Police Division.
Of 1,791 autos that traveled via the checkpoint, 798 have been screened, Miranda mentioned.
5 drivers got subject sobriety checks and 7 unlicensed or suspended license citations have been issued.
4 autos have been impounded.
The checkpoint was funded by a grant from the California Workplace of Visitors Security.
