CHULA VISTA (CNS) – 4 drivers had been arrested on numerous fees at a DUI and drivers license checkpoint, police stated Saturday.
The checkpoint was carried out between 6 p.m. and midnight Friday within the 600 block of Palomar Road, stated Officer Oscar Miranda of the Chula Vista Police Division.
One driver was arrested on suspicion of driving inebriated, Miranda stated. Two drivers had been arrested on suspicion of drug possession, and one driver was arrested on a felony warrant.
Of the two,358 autos passing by means of the checkpoint, 530 autos had been screened, the officer stated. Subject sobriety checks got to 4 drivers.
Fourteen drivers had been issued citations for driver license violations and 7 autos had been impounded.
The checkpoint was funded by a grant from the California Workplace of Visitors Security.
