The West Virginia State Police will conduct a sobriety checkpoint from 6 p.m. to midnight Friday on state Route 92, west of Elkins close to Crystal Springs in Randolph County
The main focus of this checkpoint is driving below the affect (DUI) enforcement. Different enforcement actions could also be performed with the police specializing in reckless driving, rushing, DUI and seatbelt violations.
The West Virginia State Police encourages the general public to make use of the State Police *SP (*77) system to report drunk drivers, reckless driving, stranded motorists and legal violations. By dialing *SP on a mobile phone, motorists can contact the closest State Police Detachment.
