The West Virginia State Police will conduct a Sobriety Checkpoint alongside US Rt. 19, roughly .1 mile south of the intersection with Airport Highway within the Beaver space of Raleigh County this Thursday.
The checkpoint will probably be in operation from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m.
The aim of the Sobriety Checkpoint is to discourage impaired driving and educate the motoring public concerning the risks and penalties of working a car whereas inebriated and/or medication.
The general public is urged to help legislation enforcement within the prevention of drunk driving by reporting intoxicated/drug impaired drivers to your native West Virginia State Police Detachment, Crime Stoppers of West Virginia or any legislation enforcement companies.
