MANCHESTER, CT — Authorities might be out in power in search of drunken drivers to kick off the lengthy Memorial Day weekend.
The Manchester Police Division together with Metro Site visitors Companies have scheduled a sobriety checkpoint for Friday.
The checkpoint might be arrange on Buckland Avenue close to Tolland Turnpike. Each northbound and southbound visitors might be stopped from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.
The checkpoint is a part of a Federal Freeway Security Grant that’s coordinated by the Connecticut Division of Transportation.
