OCEANSIDE, CA — One driver was arrested on suspicion of driving drunk at a checkpoint, police stated Saturday.
The checkpoint was carried out from 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Friday within the 3400 block of Oceanside Boulevard, in accordance with Sgt. Rick Davis of the Oceanside Police Division.
Of the 1,361 autos that handed by means of the checkpoint, 23 drivers had been cited for driving on a suspended license or driving and not using a license, the sergeant stated.
“As companies proceed to reopen, together with bars and eating places, impaired driving stays a prime security concern,” Davis stated.
Oceanside police deliberate to conduct one other checkpoint on July 16, he stated.
