A driver was arrested on suspicion of driving drunk at a checkpoint, police mentioned Saturday.
The Chula Vista Police Department performed a DUI and driver license checkpoint Friday between 6 p.m. and midnight within the 1400 block of East H Road, Officer Oscar Miranda mentioned.
Of the three,045 autos that handed by the checkpoint, 813 autos had been screened, Miranda mentioned. Of 19 drivers who got subject sobriety exams, one driver was arrested for alleged DUI.
Twelve unlicensed or suspended license citations had been issued, the officer mentioned. 9 autos had been impounded.
The checkpoint was paid for by a grant from the California Workplace of Site visitors Security.
