WASHINGTON — An active-duty Marine Corps officer seen on digicam struggling with a police officer and serving to different members of the pro-Trump mob drive their means into the Capitol on Jan. 6 has been charged within the riot, federal prosecutors mentioned Thursday.
Maj. Christopher Warnagiris, 40, of Woodbridge, Virginia, is the primary active-duty service member to be charged within the rebel, the Division of Justice mentioned. Warnagiris, who has been stationed at Marine Corps Base Quantico since final summer season, was arrested Thursday in Virginia, prosecutors mentioned.
