A man from Manchester was taken into custody in Laurel County, Kentucky, after he was involved in a car crash while driving under the influence, according to local police. The man, identified as 61-year-old William Jackson, faces charges of operating a vehicle under the influence – his first such offense – and possessing prescription drugs not stored as per regulations, also a first offense.
Police were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on the Hal Rogers Parkway on a recent Friday afternoon. Upon examination, they found that Jackson was under the influence at the time of the incident. The police also discovered prescription drugs that were not stored properly in his possession.
Post his arrest, Jackson was transferred to the Laurel County Correctional Center. The authorities shared the details of this incident through a post on social media.
