FAIRBURN, Ga. — Fairburn police stated they’re investigating a lethal wreck involving an ambulance.
The wreck occurred round 7:30 p.m. Friday on West Campbellton Road close to Golightly Road. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered the ambulance flipped over in a ditch.
Georgia State Patrol investigators responded to the scene and recognized the motive force as 34-year-old Kevin McCorvey.
They stated McCorvey was driving for a non-public ambulance firm south on West Campbellton and failed to keep up his lane, driving off the shoulder of the street inflicting the ambulance to flip over and land in a ditch.
Investigators stated McCorvey had a non-emergency affected person within the automobile, 66-year-old Wilton Thomason Jr. They stated Mr. Thomason was not restrained and was killed when the ambulance rolled over.

The state patrol stated McCorvey was given a sobriety take a look at on the scene and he’s now dealing with fees of DUI, 2nd diploma vehicular murder, failure to keep up lane and possession of an open container.
He was arrested and brought to the Fulton County jail.
