Alabama defensive coordinator Stephen Thomas “Pete” Golding was arrested early Thursday morning on a DUI cost and was positioned in Tuscaloosa County Jail, according to multiple reports.
Per Carol Robinson and Michael Casagrande of al.com, Assistant Chief Keith Carpenter mentioned the arrest was made at 1:00 a.m. in Northport, Ala., and no further particulars had been being launched. As of late Thursday morning, Golding remained within the county jail.
The 37-year-old began his teaching profession as a graduate assistant at his alma mater (Delta State) in 2006, earlier than serving because the defensive coordinator/defensive backs coach at Tusculum School from 2007 to 2009. Golding then returned to Delta State and held the defensive coordinator/defensive backs coach function once more, this time in 2010 and 2011.
Golding was the defensive coordinator at Southeastern Louisiana over the subsequent two seasons and the defensive backs coach at Southern Mississippi in 2014 and 2015.
