A Gainesville man is in jail after crashing into a semi, charged with DUI

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – A Gainesville man was arrested after state troopers say he precipitated a crash whereas driving below the affect.

Florida Freeway Patrol responded to a crash on I-75 northbound close to the Williston Highway Exit round 10:30 p.m. Thursday evening.

Troopers say Jack Callaway was driving an SUV.

He failed to remain in a single lane inflicting a collision with a semi.

The 22-year-old was taken into custody after failing a subject sobriety check.

He’s being held on the Alachua County Jail on DUI expenses.
