A 40-year-old Helena man was arrested on suspicion of his fifth DUI offense after tipping over a bike Friday.
Based on charging paperwork, Thomas Lee Brenimer was driving a bike within the space of Custer Avenue and Inexperienced Meadow Drive when a complainant reported seeing him having steadiness points and tipping over.
The arresting officer reported finding the broken motorbike on the scene and Brenimer just a few blocks away. Within the affidavit, the officer acknowledged Brenimer’s breath smelled of alcohol, his speech was slurred and he had problem standing.
Brenimer refused to undergo any discipline sobriety assessments, in response to the officer, and “a search incident to arrest yielded a loaded firearm hid on the defendant’s waistline.”
Brenimer was arrested and booked into Lewis and Clark County Detention Heart. He has been charged with one felony depend of driving below the affect, his fifth offense, and one misdemeanor depend for working a bike with out an endorsement.
All charged are presumed harmless till confirmed responsible.
