Franklin County Sheriff’s Office arrests man who assaulted deputy


FRANKLIN COUNTY, Fla (WCTV) – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Workplace stated a person assaulted a deputy throughout a DUI arrest Saturday.

Lance Carl Erickson, 23, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, eluding a regulation enforcement officer, aggravated battery of a regulation enforcement officer, resisting arrest with violence and possession of drug paraphernalia, based on the Sheriff’s Workplace.

Sheriff A.J. Smith instructed WCTV that the deputy was performing the DUI arrest on St. George Island as he had methamphetamine on him in addition to an open container. Smith stated the person didn’t seem like underneath the affect and didn’t know the place he was going.

The person refused to get out of the automotive, however reached out of the window and began to pull the deputy, based on Smith. The deputy was “banged up” and had a knot on right here head the place she hit the bottom. She was within the hospital for therapy.

The suspect was in custody Saturday.
