Cocoa Man Arrested in Fatal Crash After Allegedly Speeding Through Red-Light, Killing Titusville Man

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Police have made an arrest in connection to the January 20, 2021 site visitors associated dying of a 48-year-old Titusville man occurring on the the intersection of South Washington Avenue (US-1) and Cheney Freeway.

Ronnie Dale Huggins Jr., 33, of Cocoa, was arrested with out incident on Friday, July 16, 2021, and charged with DUI Manslaughter and Reckless Driving Inflicting Severe Bodily Hurt.

The preliminary investigation revealed {that a} gold 2006 Buick Lucerne, pushed by Huggins, drove by way of a red-light southbound South Washington Avenue.

Huggins, subsequently hit Jonathan Edward Duff, 48, of Titusville, who was driving a silver 2001 Ford Mustang, as he was trying a left flip northbound on South Washington Avenue from Cheney Freeway.

Duff was ejected from the car and succumbed to his accidents later that night.

Investigative proof confirmed Huggins was impaired and driving at an extreme price of pace.

Ronnie Dale Huggins Jr. was booked into the Brevard County Jail with out bond.
