20 arrests made during safety checkpoint

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Jackson Police Division has been conducting security checkpoints to trace down criminality occurring within the Capital Metropolis.

On Tuesday, police made 20 arrests and issued greater than 50 citations at their first checkpoint on Northside Drive and Hanging Moss Highway.

Police additionally arrange a checkpoint at Keele Avenue and Culley Drive.

It’s a part of an initiative known as TAT, (Tickets, Arrests, and Tow). Police additionally recovered an automated rifle and two handguns.
