Amherst resident faces DWI charges

Andrew T. Marino, a 27-year-old resident of Amherst, NY, was arrested by the Clarence State Police on January 13, 2024, for Driving While Intoxicated- BAC > 0.08 in addition to other vehicle and traffic offenses.

State troopers were called around 2:29 AM on January 13, 2024, in response to a car off the road at the intersection of Cedar Street and Martin Road in Newstead town. They found a 2023 Toyota Corolla and noticed an alcohol scent upon interviewing the driver, Marino. Marino failed several Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFSTs) and was accordingly arrested and taken to the Clarence State Police station for processing, where he registered a BAC of .12%.

Marino was provided with traffic citations that he will have to answer in the Newstead town court at a scheduled date in February 2024.
