A man on the run, identified as Juan Cristian Diaz, is wanted for assault and driving whilst under the influence with a minor in the vehicle. The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance from the public in tracing him. Anyone with knowledge about his whereabouts is urged to inform the authorities by calling 210-335-6000.
29-year-old Joe Diaz is being sought for aggravated assault resulting in significant bodily harm. Alongside these charges, he is also facing accusations of intoxicated driving with a child below the age of 15 in the car, an unrelated charge.
The incident leading to the assault charges occurred on March 25, 2024, when deputies were summoned to a residence in far southwest Bexar County following reports of an altercation. Diaz’s roommate, the assault victim, reported that Diaz had returned home enraged over a phone call made earlier that day. Upon arrival, he allegedly assaulted the victim at the stairway inside the house, repeatedly punching him in the face.
The victim managed to leave the location to alert the authorities. However, by the time deputies arrived at the scene, Diaz had escaped and has been evading capture ever since.
