Terry R. Satterly, a 40-year-old Towanda resident, was reprimanded after pleading guilty to a 2017 charge and being sentenced and resentenced twice due to noncompliance with his original sentence. The Bradford County District Attorney’s Office disclosed that Satterly has been sentenced to serve a minimum of six months to a maximum of two-and-half years in a State Correctional Institution after admitting to driving under the influence of methamphetamine. This is his third offense within 10 years.
Satterly was initially ordered to complete a program at the Bradford County Treatment Court, but his sentence had to be adjusted to a minimum of one year and two months to a maximum of two and half years in jail following his program failure, plus a year and six months of probation. Upon completing the jail term but failing his probation, Satterly was yet again resentenced to serve time at the correctional institution. He was originally apprehended for this crime by a Pennsylvania State Trooper in August 2017.
