A high-speed chase that started on Rt. 309 in Bucks County, Pennsylvania resulted in a car crash and the arrest of the driver on suspicion of DUI, according to state police. A press release from the Dublin barracks noted that the 27-year-old man from Birdsboro, Berks County, was reportedly driving a 2008 Jeep Liberty at high speed, without any lights on, and swerving through traffic recklessly on Rt. 309 when police tried to stop him on the evening of February 21. The man lost control and crashed his vehicle near Hilltop Road and Rt. 309 in Springfield Township around 11:35 p.m. Despite the crash, the driver was unharmed. The release stated that the driver was later found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and was arrested. After his arraignment before Bucks County District Judge Terrence Hughes, he was detained at the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
